Richard Gretz Goldsmiths is the longest, continuously owned goldsmith shop in the area. Richard has thirty years of experience making and designing beautiful jewelry for our customers.

Richard is the only jeweler in the area that travels directly to Thailand, Burma, and Hong Kong to buy our gemstones. Why does he do that? By importing the gemstones himself he is able to pick from the finest ones available. Only the brightest and most beautifully colored sapphires, rubies, and emeralds pass his high standard of quality. This also enables him to cut out the "middle man" and cut out a significant portion of the cost, a savings which he can then pass on to you.

We have a strong dedication to classical training in jewelry making and design. Working with Richard, we have two fine wax artists-goldsmiths on staff as well as an Italian trained platinumsmith. Several of our staff have art degrees in addition to their many years of experience making jewelry and helping customers.

We also have one of only a few 3 dimensional wax printers in Oregon. Our state of the art system lets Richard design our jewelry by computer. We can then easily make jewelry that would have been nearly impossible to carve by hand in wax, a more traditional method. This technology has opened so many new doors in design possiblity.
